Badenscallie Chalet - Achiltibuie - How To Find Us
Achiltibuie (Achd-ille-bhuidhe in Scottish Gaelic) is part of the parish of Coigach in the North West Highlands of Scotland. To reach us you drive through a magnificent and ancient landscape of mountains and lochs shaped during the ice age. The area was chosen as Scotland’s first Geopark in recognition of its outstanding geological features and archaeological, ecological and cultural significance.
Ten miles north of Ullapool you will see the signpost for Achiltibuie. Continue through 16 miles of beautiful scenery, past Stac Polly and Loch Oskaig and on to the coast. You drive through the village of Achiltibuie until you reach the signpost for Badenscallie township. The Chalet is just beyond this, in its own grounds, and looks out to sea towards the Summer Isles and beyond to the Hebrides.
Air and rail links are from Inverness, 2 hours drive away.
We saw a lot of wildlife and had stunning views out of the chalet with fantastic skys and wild ocean. One of the best trips was to Durness. We enjoyed ourselves in your cosy chalet and will never forget our stay here.’ - Ursula and Uwe Wieselman Cologne Germany
